Ballet Allonge'

Ballet Allonge was formed in 2007. Students are invited to participate in this pre-professional company. The three levels, Petite, Junior and Senior, are designed to help the serious ballet student to grow into a mature ballet dancer who will audition for not only summer programs, but for professional ballet companies as they move through the stages of training. These students have traveled to train with some phenomenal teachers through the Youth America Grand Prix program! We also bring in Ballet Master Teachers regularly for our students to experience those teachers. Russian Balelt Master Valery Lantratov has come to Generations 5 times as he has toured the US. If you are serious about your ballet training, we encourage you to participate in this outstanding program at Generations!!

"Dancing was such a big part of my life during my most formative years, and I am so thankful for the Generations family to carry on the tradition of life lessons through dance with my daughter! Every student truly matters and holds value for all the staff."

"My daughter Evey started dancing at Generations at the age of 5. Watching her walk up those same studio stairs I did as a child was such a nostalgic feeling."

"Spending time in uptown at the dance studio, is one of those memories I have as a child, and has not passed onto my kids. It started when I went to dance with my best friend a few times, it was always an exciting experience with a contagious energy. It inspired me, despite not being a "dancer" to want to sign up for dance, and not letting up until my parents signed me up.. While my time was short lived, our kiddos dance experience has not been. We have spent so many years inside the studio or strolling around uptown while our oldest, who is now 19 (Adyson Parker) and our littles (Emma and Evelynn Chester) are at dance, living their best life, making new friends, seeing so many school or community friends, learning their new dance technique or often a new song. All parts of our experience have been amazing, and excited to continue to pass it on."

"Some of my most vivid memories of dancing are on State St. dancing in the rooms above the laundromat. I fondly remember practicing our combined number, Mame and the floors bouncing when we did our kick line. It was also so amazing competing in Florida for my first nationals. I can't imagine many teachers who would also invite hundreds of dancers to their house for extra practice, but Angie does. Angie is a great teacher and I'm happy Generations has made the experience very kid-friendly. Ms. Ally has been so kind to my daughter this year and I'm so happy she's enjoying her experience."

"Dance was an amazing gift in my life. As a shy child, it helped give me gain confidence and joy. It has been a blessing to see my own daughter dance. It has been extra special to see her learn and find joy in dance at Generations (GenPAC) with Angie as her teacher. GenPAC has become much more than a dance studio for both of us. All those who are a part of the studio have become family to us. We are so thankful for GenPAC!"

"Some of my earliest memories are doing ballet upstairs- it seemed so high up all those stairs when I was a little girl!"

"Generations PAC has provided and continues to provide a wonderful experience for our daughter. The dance instruction is first rate and it is delivered in a kind, inclusive, and positive manner. Generations has classes and programs for all ages, and skill levels. They clearly strive to make the experience of dance positive and fulfilling for their students. The atmosphere of collegiality among the students at Generations is something that we noticed right away and really appreciate. Generations has companies within the school that compete (and excel!) in high level competition while not making competition the main focus of the school. If competition is not for you, there are still many learning and performing options available to you. As a parent, I feel very comfortable and confident in recommending Generations PAC to you. Come visit them and decide for yourself."

Poised and Professional

"Hi Angie

I wanted to take a minute to let you know how pleased we continue to be with Generations. There was a noticeable difference between your studio and the others represented at our competitions recently. I am very proud to say my daughters dance at Generations.

The girls were poised, professional, very well behaved and most of all, well-trained. You, and all of the other teachers are going above and beyond in teaching the girls about being a good person as well as a good dancer and that says a lot. I just wanted you to know how much I continue to appreciate what's going on at your studio. I look forward to being able to be more involved in the future. What you are dong is a wonderful thing."

Dance and Faith

"Thank you so much for everything. I can't even begin to tell you how happy I am that Maggie dances at your studio. Your staff is so kind and you teach not only a solid dance curriculum, but a valuable lesson in faith (which is hard to come by in today's society). I look forward to Maggie dancing with you for a very long time"

"Both of my daughters have received excellent dance training from Generations as well as a place away from home where they truly feel like they matter! They are two entirely different people and dancers who have been able to hone their skills to the best of their abilities which speaks to the versatility of the Generations staff and their teaching methods. You will not find a more professional, more organized, or more caring environment to take your child to receive dance training. It truly is the best there is!"

"Dear Angie,

I just wanted to take a minute to thank you for running such a wonderful dance studio. After attending the dance competition at Louisville last year, and the one in Mason today, I continue to be thankful that Generations is a performing arts center that focuses on keeping the integrity and innocence of our girls (and boys) at the heart of costuming, music, and routine selections. I continue to be amazed at the talent of the young people at Generations, and am so happy and thankful that Madelyn has an opportunity to grow as a dancer and as a person at Gen-Pac."

Mentors...

"I love that you use the older girls as big sis/mentors for the younger girls.  The older girls set a positive example and are responsible girls who handle themselves very well."

"We are going into our eighth season with dancers at Generations, and we've had a wonderful experience. There are many options for recreational dancers, as well as though who want to compete/train more seriously. Recitals are beautifully done and run like a well-oiled machine. I appreciate the tasteful costumes, great communication, and helpful/friendly staff. Highly recommend this studio!"

"Absolutely fantastic place to send your children to learn dance! Very well organized programs for all ages. Our oldest daughter has been going here for a few years and every instructor has been very caring and talented. Can't wait to see our next daughter join in!"

"We are relatively new to dance and we LOVE Generations! You do a wonderful job with the girls. We chose Generations because 2 of Rachel's friends were students there. She was interested for a while, but we actually signed up for summer classes after Elizabeth brought Rachel to 'bring a friend to dance' day one May. Summer classes were a nice way to get started with a short commitment to see if she liked it. (She did!)"

Favorite thing as a parent...

"My favorite thing as a parent about Generations is that you value and teach each girl as an important person, not just a number or one of many dancers in your studio. I truly appreciate how you hold the girls to task, hold them accountable, and make them work hard but you do it in a loving and kind way. Your values as Christians really show through and we love that! I can't think of a better way for my daughter to spend her time. She is learning dance, but also learning valuable life lessons. I had been meaning to send you a note after the Mason competition about this. It was our first experience in a competition and I cannot tell you how impressed I was with our dancers and your choice of costumes, appropriate choreography, and rules of conduct. I was completely shocked to see how some of the other dance studios had their girls dressed, the dance moves they used, and their attire when walking around the hallway. It was quite a contrast to Generations dancers. It made me so happy as a parent. I truly want you to know how much I appreciate you! I will support Rachel dancing with you as much and as long as she desires! You are helping to raise great kids."

"Our son gives it a 10/0 (10 being how much he likes it / 0 being how much he dislikes it). He's grown a lot in his coordination, confidence and developing new friendships here."

"My 5 year old started mid season this year and had her first dress rehearsal last Friday. Her brother’s normally-on-time-bus was 30 minutes late due to a flat tire that we weren’t notified about, making her/us 30 minutes late to recital. As we walked into the auditorium her class was walking onto the stage and she burst into tears (she hates to be late to anything). Rehearsal is SO, SO busy and I was doing my best to console my girl but I knew there wasn’t a way to fix it- we missed it and I was not going to ask for any exceptions and that was that. But one of the rehearsal helpers quickly pulled me aside and said “in a little bit we’re going to have her class go back out and do the dance again so she can do it”, and I about cried. They in no way, shape or form had to do that for my daughter- one child in an auditorium filled of dancers. That rehearsal goes from like 3:30-8:30 at night- it’s no joke- and offering to run her dance again without me even asking about it was the nicest kindness. We are new to the dance world- my girl had never been on a stage before (info Generations probably didn’t even know)- and this hiccup could have been one of those moments that made her not want to pursue dance anymore, but thanks to their unsolicited kindness, it wasn’t. My daughter went home happy, excited and proud that evening, and that’s something I will always be thankful for.

So if you’re looking for a dance studio, here’s your sign to check out Generations! My daughter has loved her class, teachers and friends, and I’m incredibly thankful for their kind hearts."
